3. NOTICE AT COLLECTION

Where required by applicable law, we provide notice at or before the point personal information is collected — for example, on forms, assessments, checkout pages, and account-registration screens — summarizing the categories of personal information collected at that point, the purposes for collection, and whether that information is sold, shared, or used for cross-context behavioral advertising. This Privacy Policy is our general notice; a point-of-collection notice may supplement it and controls for the information collected at that specific point.

4. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. We may collect the following categories of information.

A. Contact and Identification Information

This may include: first and last name; email address; telephone number; mailing or billing address; account username or similar identifiers; social-media handle; and other contact information you voluntarily provide.

B. Account and Registration Information

If you create an account, register for a program, or access a participant portal, we may collect information such as name, email address, account identifiers, login or authentication information, enrollment information, program access information, account preferences, and information associated with your participation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

C. Transaction and Purchase Information

When you purchase a product, training, course, membership, program, or other offering, we may collect or receive information such as name, email address, billing address, products or services purchased, transaction date, purchase amount, payment status, order or transaction identifiers, refund or cancellation information, and related commercial information. Payment card information is generally processed directly by third-party payment processors. We do not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on our own systems.

D. Forms, Assessments, Questionnaires, and Program Responses

Relationship and Love Tips may provide assessments, questionnaires, quizzes, surveys, workbook activities, reflection exercises, applications, feedback forms, or other interactive educational materials. Depending on the activity, you may voluntarily provide information concerning relationship or communication experiences, conflict patterns, communication preferences, interpersonal reactions, educational goals, assessment answers, questionnaire responses, reflections, program progress, feedback, and other information you choose to submit.

Certain information you voluntarily provide could be personal, private, or sensitive in nature. Please do not submit information that is unnecessary for the activity or that you do not want us or our applicable service providers to process. Unless expressly requested, please do not submit highly sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, complete financial-account credentials, medical records, psychotherapy records, or passwords through general forms, assessments, emails, or program exercises.

E. Customer Support and Communications

When you communicate with us, we may collect your contact information, the date and time of communication, the contents of messages you send directly to us, attachments you provide, support history, purchase or account information relevant to your request, and our responses.

F. Testimonials, Reviews, and Feedback

If you voluntarily provide a testimonial, review, survey response, endorsement, or feedback, we may collect the information contained in that submission. We will handle publication and promotional use of identifiable testimonials in accordance with applicable law and any authorization or agreement that applies to the submission.

G. Device, Internet, and Usage Information

When you access our website or online services, we and service providers acting on our behalf may automatically receive information such as IP address, browser type, browser settings, device type, operating system, language settings, approximate location derived from IP address, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, dates and times of visits, session information, interactions with website features, and similar technical or usage information.

H. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may collect information using technologies such as cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, analytics technologies, session technologies, and similar tools. More information appears in the Cookies and Similar Technologies section below.

I. Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from third parties that assist us with our business, such as website and funnel providers (including GoHighLevel/LeadConnector), course or membership platforms, payment processors, analytics providers, email and communications providers, scheduling systems, customer-relationship-management providers, advertising or marketing platforms, social-media platforms, fraud-prevention or security providers, and other technology or service providers. We may combine information received from third parties with information we collect directly, where permitted by law.

5. SENSITIVE OR PRIVATE INFORMATION

Some Relationship and Love Tips offerings concern relationships, communication, conflict, and interpersonal behavior. As a result, information you voluntarily submit through assessments, questionnaires, support communications, or program activities may sometimes be personal or sensitive.

We seek to collect only information reasonably related to providing, administering, improving, securing, or supporting the relevant offering or for another purpose disclosed to you. We do not ask participants to provide unnecessary intimate details about themselves, their partners, or third parties. When completing assessments, questionnaires, exercises, or support requests, please avoid identifying another person or disclosing another person’s confidential or sensitive information unless doing so is necessary, lawful, and appropriate.

Where information constitutes “sensitive personal information” or a similar protected category under applicable privacy law — which under California law may include certain health, sex-life, sexual-orientation, precise-geolocation, financial-account, and private-communications information — we will process it only for purposes permitted by that law, will not use or disclose it beyond those permitted purposes without providing any required notice or choice, and will honor any applicable right to limit its use or disclosure as described in Section 24.

6. INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE

You may sometimes discuss or provide information involving a spouse, partner, family member, or another person. Please respect other people’s privacy. You should not provide another person’s personal, confidential, medical, financial, account, or other sensitive information unless you are legally permitted to do so and the disclosure is appropriate for the purpose for which you are providing it. We may delete, restrict, or decline to process information about third parties where appropriate.

7. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

Directly From You — for example, when you subscribe to communications, submit a contact form, complete an assessment or questionnaire, register for an event, create an account, purchase a product or program, participate in training, request customer support, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with us.

Automatically — we or our service providers may collect certain technical and usage information when you visit or interact with our website or online services.

From Service Providers and Other Third Parties — we may receive information from providers that facilitate transactions, communications, analytics, marketing, account access, program delivery, security, or other business operations.

8. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Provide Our Website, Products, and Services — operate our website; process registrations; establish and maintain accounts; deliver digital products and educational programs; provide assessments and related educational materials; track program access or progress where applicable; provide customer support; and fulfill customer requests.

Process Transactions — process orders; confirm purchases; maintain transaction records; provide access to purchased offerings; administer refunds or cancellations; prevent fraud; and resolve billing or account issues.

Personalize Educational Experiences — where applicable, we may use responses to quizzes, questionnaires, or assessments to provide results, categorize educational responses, personalize educational content, provide relevant exercises or recommendations, help participants understand program concepts, and improve the usefulness of an educational experience. Such personalization is educational in nature and should not be understood as medical diagnosis, psychological diagnosis, therapy, counseling, or individualized licensed professional treatment.

Communicate With You — respond to inquiries; provide customer service; deliver account or purchase notices; send program-related communications; provide administrative or security notices; and communicate other information related to your relationship with us.

Marketing and Promotional Communications — where permitted by law, send newsletters, announce programs or products, provide educational content, send promotional offers, and communicate information that may be relevant to your interests. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link contained in those emails. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop transactional, security, account, purchase, or other non-marketing communications.

Operate, Analyze, and Improve Our Business — understand website use; measure engagement; evaluate program performance; troubleshoot technical issues; improve products and services; develop new educational offerings; conduct internal analytics; maintain business records; and improve user experience.

Security, Fraud Prevention, and Legal Compliance — protect our systems; detect or prevent fraud or abuse; investigate suspected violations; enforce applicable agreements and policies; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; comply with legal obligations; respond to lawful government requests; and protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Project SPICES™ LLC, our users, or others.

9. ASSESSMENTS AND EDUCATIONAL PERSONALIZATION

Certain Relationship and Love Tips programs may include assessments or questionnaires intended to help participants recognize patterns, preferences, behaviors, or educational concepts. For example, Break the Fight Cycle™ may include relationship-conflict or escalation-related assessments and exercises.

Assessment responses may be used to calculate or provide assessment results; identify educational categories or patterns; personalize educational feedback; provide program exercises or recommendations; support your participation; maintain program records where applicable; troubleshoot or improve assessment functionality; and improve our educational offerings using aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably practicable.

These assessments are educational tools. They are not designed or intended to provide psychological or medical diagnosis, mental-health evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, or clinical treatment. We do not recommend including unnecessary identifying details about partners or other third parties in assessment responses.

10. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATED TECHNOLOGIES

We may use software, automation, or artificial-intelligence-assisted tools for legitimate business purposes such as administrative support, content organization, customer service assistance, analytics, workflow automation, fraud prevention, or improving business operations.

If we use automated technology to process personal information in a manner that triggers specific notice, consent, access, opt-out, risk-assessment, or other obligations under applicable law, we will provide the required notices or controls. We do not represent that ordinary educational assessment results constitute a professional or clinical decision. We do not intentionally use private assessment responses to train publicly available general-purpose artificial-intelligence models unless we provide appropriate disclosure and obtain any consent required by applicable law.

11. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to support essential website functions, security, authentication, preferences, analytics, website performance, conversion measurement, marketing, and, where used, advertising.

Some cookies may be necessary for website functionality. Others may support analytics, personalization, or advertising. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect the functionality of some website features. Where applicable law requires consent or provides an opt-out right for certain cookies or tracking technologies, we will provide appropriate choices, including through a cookie-preference tool where applicable.

12. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

We may use analytics services to understand how visitors interact with our website and to evaluate website or marketing performance. We may also use advertising or marketing technologies to measure campaigns, understand whether advertisements result in website visits or purchases, or deliver or improve marketing.

Depending on the technology used and applicable law, certain advertising-related disclosures of identifiers or internet activity may constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” targeted advertising, or similar regulated activity even when no money is exchanged for personal information. Where required by applicable law, we will provide applicable notice and opt-out mechanisms.

13. GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL AND OPT-OUT PREFERENCE SIGNALS

Where applicable law requires us to recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as a valid Global Privacy Control or other legally recognized opt-out preference signal, we will process supported signals as required by applicable law. The effect of such a signal may depend on your browser, device, account status, and applicable law.

14. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

If you subscribe to marketing communications or otherwise provide appropriate permission, we may send you newsletters, educational information, program announcements, offers, updates, and other promotional communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the message. We may continue sending communications that are necessary to administer your account, purchases, program access, transactions, security, or other existing relationship with us.

15. TEXT MESSAGES AND TELEPHONE COMMUNICATIONS

If we offer SMS/text-message marketing or promotional communications, we will seek consent where required by applicable law. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing a product unless expressly permitted by law. Message and data rates may apply. Where applicable, instructions for opting out of text messages will be provided with the messaging program. Transactional or service-related communications may be treated differently under applicable law.

16. PAYMENT PROCESSING

Purchases may be processed using third-party payment processors or commerce platforms. Those providers may collect payment information directly from you, including payment-card or financial information necessary to complete a transaction. We generally receive transaction-related information such as purchaser name, email address, billing information, transaction status, product purchased, amount paid, and transaction identifiers.

We do not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on our own systems. Third-party payment providers process information under their own privacy policies, security practices, and terms.

17. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Service Providers and Contractors — we may disclose information to companies or individuals that perform services on our behalf, including providers of website hosting, funnel and website technology, customer relationship management, course or program hosting, email delivery, communications, payment processing, analytics, advertising and marketing technology, customer support, scheduling, cloud storage, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, professional services, and other operational services. We seek to provide these providers only the information reasonably necessary for their functions, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Business and Professional Advisers — we may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, insurers, auditors, consultants, or other professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

Legal and Safety Purposes — we may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, respond to governmental requests, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect legal rights, or protect the safety or security of individuals, our business, or our systems.

Business Transactions — information may be disclosed or transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.

At Your Direction or With Your Consent — we may disclose information when you request, direct, or consent to the disclosure.

We do not disclose personal information to unaffiliated third parties for those third parties’ own independent marketing purposes without your consent, except as described in Section 18 (Shine the Light).

18. CALIFORNIA “SHINE THE LIGHT” DISCLOSURE

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your consent. If you have questions about this disclosure, contact us as described in Section 32.

19. FINANCIAL INCENTIVES

We do not currently offer a financial incentive, discount, or other benefit program in exchange for the collection, retention, or sale of personal information within the meaning of the CCPA. If we introduce such a program, we will provide the notice, and obtain any consent, required by applicable law before you may participate, and you may withdraw at any time.

20. SALE OR SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information to third parties for money as part of our ordinary business model. However, certain uses of advertising, analytics, cookies, pixels, or similar technologies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” targeted advertising, or similar regulated activity under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. If our practices constitute a sale or sharing under a law that applies to us, we will provide the notices and opt-out choices required by that law. Where legally required, you may exercise an applicable opt-out right using the mechanism provided on our website or by contacting us as described below.

21. PUBLIC CONTENT

Information you intentionally publish or authorize us to publish may become public, including public comments, testimonials, reviews, social-media interactions, or other content submitted for publication. Do not include confidential, private, or sensitive information in content intended for public display. Once information is made public, third parties may copy, index, archive, or redistribute it beyond our control.

22. DE-IDENTIFIED AND AGGREGATED INFORMATION

We may create or use information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it is not reasonably linked to an identifiable individual, for purposes such as analytics, research, product improvement, program development, business planning, and understanding general trends. Where required by law, we will maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it except as legally permitted.

23. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or another lawful business purpose, including to provide products and services, maintain accounts, fulfill transactions, provide customer support, maintain appropriate business and tax records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, and protect legal rights.

Retention periods differ depending on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, legal requirements, security considerations, and operational needs. As a general matter: account and transaction records are retained for the duration of the account plus the period needed to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal obligations; assessment and questionnaire responses are retained for as long as needed to deliver the related program and support your continued participation, then deleted or de-identified; and marketing-contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to suppression records we keep to honor that request. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we delete, anonymize, or de-identify it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

24. DATA SECURITY AND INCIDENT RESPONSE

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, vendor due diligence, and limiting access to personal information to personnel and service providers who need it.

However, no website, database, transmission method, cloud system, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information that triggers a notification obligation under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and any required regulators in the manner and timeframe required by that law.

You are responsible for protecting passwords, account credentials, and devices used to access our services. If you believe your account or information may have been compromised, contact us promptly at [email protected].

25. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on where you reside and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

•             request information about personal information we collect or process;

•             access personal information;

•             request correction of inaccurate personal information;

•             request deletion of personal information;

•             obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;

•             opt out of certain sales or sharing of personal information;

•             opt out of certain targeted advertising;

•             limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;

•             withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

•             appeal certain privacy-request decisions where applicable; and

•             receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

These rights are subject to applicable law, exceptions, verification requirements, and limitations. Not every right applies in every jurisdiction or circumstance.

26. HOW TO SUBMIT A PRIVACY REQUEST

To request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right that may apply to you, contact [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.”

Please include sufficient information for us to understand and verify your request. We may need to verify your identity — for example, by matching the information you provide to information already in our records — before fulfilling certain requests, and information collected for verification will be used only for verification and related compliance purposes. Where applicable law requires a heightened verification standard for a particular request (for example, deletion of sensitive categories of information), we will apply that standard.

Where applicable, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us or confirm the agent’s authority.

Response timeframe. Where the CCPA applies, we will confirm receipt of a verifiable consumer request within 10 business days and will respond substantively within 45 calendar days of receipt, or notify you if we reasonably need up to an additional 45 calendar days. For requests under other applicable privacy laws, we will respond within the timeframe required by that law. If we deny a request in whole or in part, we will explain the basis for the denial and, where applicable law provides an appeal right, how to appeal that decision.

27. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY NOTICE

This section provides additional information for California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”), applies to businesses that satisfy applicable statutory requirements. To the extent the CCPA applies to Project SPICES™ LLC and to the personal information at issue, California residents may have the rights described in this section.

Categories of Personal Information. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information, as defined under the CCPA:

•             Identifiers — such as name, email address, IP address, account identifier, mailing address, or telephone number.

•             Customer Records — such as contact, account, billing, or transaction information.

•             Commercial Information — such as products or programs purchased, transaction history, enrollment, or purchasing interactions.

•             Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity — such as browsing activity, interactions with our website, device information, and similar usage information.

•             Geolocation Information — such as general location inferred from IP address. We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation unless a particular feature requires it and appropriate notice is provided.

•             Audio, Electronic, Visual, or Similar Information — if you voluntarily communicate through formats involving audio, video, images, recordings, or similar media.

•             Professional or Employment Information — if you voluntarily provide such information in connection with an application, form, communication, or other relevant interaction.

•             Inferences — such as educational profiles, preferences, interests, or patterns inferred from information you provide or your interaction with our offerings.

•             Sensitive Personal Information — potentially including information voluntarily submitted through certain assessments, questionnaires, communications, or transactions that qualifies as sensitive personal information under California law. We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the relevant service, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121 and its implementing regulations.

Sources of Personal Information. We may collect personal information from you; your browser or device; service providers; payment and commerce providers; analytics providers; advertising or marketing providers; social-media platforms; and other sources described in this Privacy Policy.

Business or Commercial Purposes. We may use personal information for the purposes described throughout this Privacy Policy, including providing products and services, processing transactions, managing accounts, customer support, educational personalization, security and fraud prevention, analytics, improving our offerings, communications, marketing, legal compliance, and business operations.

Categories of Recipients. Depending on our practices, personal information may be disclosed to service providers and contractors, payment processors, website and course-platform providers, communications providers, analytics providers, advertising and marketing providers, professional advisers, government authorities where legally required, business transaction participants, and other recipients at your direction or with your consent.

California Privacy Rights. Where the CCPA applies, California residents may have rights including the right to know, the right to access, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable CCPA rights. California’s privacy framework also requires covered businesses to honor applicable opt-out preference signals where required.

Exercising California Rights. California residents may submit applicable requests as described in Section 26.

Sale and Sharing. We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation as part of our ordinary business model. As explained above, certain advertising or analytics practices may constitute “sharing” or “sale” under California law. Where such practices occur and the CCPA applies, we will provide required opt-out mechanisms and process legally recognized opt-out preference signals as required.

Sensitive Personal Information. Where we collect sensitive personal information subject to the CCPA, we use and disclose it for purposes reasonably necessary to provide requested products or services, maintain security, process transactions, comply with law, or for other legally permitted purposes. If we use or disclose sensitive personal information in a manner that gives rise to a right to limit under applicable California law, we will provide the required mechanism for exercising that right.

Nondiscrimination. Where applicable, we will not unlawfully discriminate against a California resident because the resident exercised a privacy right provided by law, including by denying goods or services, charging different prices, or providing a different level or quality of goods or services, except as permitted by the CCPA.

28. OTHER U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS

Residents of certain other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (which currently may include, among others, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states as their laws take effect) may have privacy rights under applicable state consumer privacy laws. Depending on the law and whether it applies to us, these may include rights to access personal information, correct inaccuracies, delete personal information, obtain certain information in portable form, opt out of certain targeted advertising, opt out of certain sales of personal information, opt out of certain profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, obtain information about certain disclosures, withdraw consent for certain processing, and appeal a decision regarding a privacy request.

If an applicable state law gives you such a right, you may submit your request as described in Section 26. We will process applicable requests, including any appeal rights, in accordance with the law governing the request.

29. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Relationship and Love Tips products, programs, assessments, and paid services are intended for adults age 18 or older, unless we expressly state otherwise. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or sell personal information from children through adult-directed programs, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in a manner subject to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact [email protected]. We will review the situation and take appropriate action, including deletion of the information where required, consistent with applicable law.

30. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES, PLATFORMS, AND SERVICES

Our website or programs may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, payment providers, course platforms, scheduling services, social-media platforms, or other services. We do not control the privacy or security practices of independent third parties. When you interact directly with a third party, its privacy policy and terms may apply. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.

31. SOCIAL MEDIA

We may maintain accounts or pages on third-party social-media platforms. If you interact with us through those platforms, the platform may collect and process information according to its own privacy practices. Information you make publicly available on social media may be visible to us and others. This Privacy Policy governs information we process through our own systems, while the relevant platform’s policy governs its independent processing.

32. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Relationship and Love Tips and Project SPICES™ LLC are operated from the United States. If you access our website or services from outside the United States, personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws different from those in your location. Where applicable law requires a particular legal mechanism, safeguard, notice, or consent for international data transfers, we will take the steps required by that law before transferring your information.

33. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not a single universally accepted standard governing all Do Not Track signals, our website may not respond to traditional Do Not Track signals in a uniform manner. This is separate from legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, which we will process where required by applicable law as described in Section 13.

34. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, changes in technology, new products or services, changes in legal requirements, or other operational developments. When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this Privacy Policy. For material changes affecting how we handle previously collected personal information, or where otherwise required by law, we will provide additional notice — such as an on-site banner or email notice — or obtain consent, before the change takes effect. Your continued interaction with our services after a revised policy becomes effective does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
